The exterior is still the same, but the technology, engine and transmission, have been upgraded for some extra power. The engine has been completely rebuilt with a displacement of 1310 cc (bored out 1275 cc), with new Swiftune Heritage pistons, a modified block, a new high-flow oil pump and filter, a new oil seal conversion kit, a rear crankshaft with lip seal, a new Kent Cam 276MD camshaft, a new dual distribution chain and gears. This really gives the car something extra; it produces just over 100 horsepower, excellent for a car weighing only 714 kilograms. It is certainly a fast car for real old-fashioned steering. The cylinder head features lead-free intake and exhaust seats, enlarged new intake and exhaust valves, bronze valve guides, polished and ported intake and exhaust ports, smoothed and high-lift 1.5-inch rockers. The flywheel is lighter and reduced by 3 kilograms; you can imagine what happens when you press the gas pedal. It has a new clutch kit and a new master and auxiliary cylinder fitted with Goodridge stainless steel hoses. The brakes were all redone, so new calipers, pads, brake shoes and cylinders. All refitted with new copper lines and Goodridge stainless hoses. The upgraded HIFF44 carburetor has been completely overhauled and fitted with the correct needle and spring for the sporty K&N filter. It has a spaghetti manifold with a straight exhaust pipe for proper flow. The ribcase gearbox has been overhauled and shifts perfectly. Rear adjustable GAZ shock absorbers are fitted and front rebuilt originals are fitted. The car has electronic ignition, a Powerlite high torque starter and an alternator. These are all upgrades out there! A facet fuel pump with regulator delivers the right amount of fuel. The exterior of the car is in excellent condition, the paint job is nice and sporty with the striping and door numbers (can be removed). The car has a beautiful interior with new seat covers with white piping, a new carpet set, a new soft top and a sporty Moto Lita steering wheel. New Dunlop chrome wire wheels with new tires look great on this little sports car. A Monza Sport fuel cap completes the sporty overall package. How fast do you want to go?
