A beautifully restored early MG Midget 1275 in the incredibly rare color Basilica Blue. This very attractive MG Midget was built in 1967. The chrome accents on the hood and along the entire side are typical of the early models. The MG was fully restored a few years ago; first, the bodywork and cosmetic parts were completely overhauled, and the engine and transmission were overhauled in 2023. This fast car is equipped with a sporty HIF44 carburetor, which makes it truly lightning-fast. Combined with the Maniflow “spaghetti” manifold and sport exhaust, it’s a fast little car. It features electronic ignition and an alternator mounted in a dynamo housing for extra power. This is an exceptionally well-maintained example, with a beautifully smooth paint job and perfectly aligned seams. The car has been very well maintained and recently underwent a major service performed by us. As usual, we have thoroughly inspected the MG. This Midget is ready for many years of carefree driving pleasure. The interior is in excellent condition, featuring black vinyl seats with new upholstery and foam, a fresh set of black carpets, and new trim panels—absolutely gorgeous. The early Midgets are equipped with a beautiful, old-fashioned steel dashboard, which gives it a wonderful classic look. All gauges have been reconditioned, and everything works perfectly as it should. The early 1275 cc Series A engine is extremely reliable and has a powerful roar. Make no mistake—their light weight makes them fast driver’s cars. Under the hood and in the trunk, you can see that the car has been fully restored; everything has been neatly painted in the same color, looks fresh, and is in top condition. This car is equipped with beautiful Minilight rims with center nuts and spinners, giving it a great sporty look. The soft top is made of black vinyl, just as it came from the factory, and is brand new. The original steering wheel completes the classic cockpit. The chrome trim all around is like new; finding a better example will be really difficult. The MG has a valid Belgian license plate and is inspected through 2030; it’s a former Dutch car, so re-registering it with a Dutch license plate or any other European license plate is a piece of cake.
