Fully restored 1960 Triumph TR3A in Connaugt Green. This TR is an absolute masterpiece, one of the most complete TR3’s we have ever seen here, the technical improvements are too numerous to mention. The car has been in the possession of the last owner since 1979. The TR was body-off restored in the late 80’s and is still in great condition. The sheet metal and paintwork are really very clean. The TR has been driven as it should be , everywhere it has been, Italy, Scotland, France, Belgium , name it, no road it has not seen. So as you can understand the technique is to pass through a ring. The engine was overhauled and upgraded at Red Baron in 2018, everything was modified , 86 MM pistons , so 2.2 liter with fast road camshaft, everything weighed and balanced, with light flywheel, High torque Powerlite starter motor and lightweight alternator. So you understand that something really happens when you step on the gas. The cylinder head has been modified with larger valves and made suitable for unleaded gasoline. The SU carburetors were completely overhauled and a stainless steel exhaust system was installed. The overdrive gearbox ( on 2-3 and 4) was overhauled in 2016 by a Dutch specialist. All suspension bushings have been replaced with Polyurethane bushings, what an improvement for handling that is, weighted rear leaf springs and adjustable shock absorbers complete everything, what a rally beast. The car is built with the finest and best materials available. The best of the best. So all suspension parts, bushings, lines, brakes, everything has been renewed over the years! The steering box was completely overhauled just last year. The soft top and side windows are made of black vinyl as factory. The interior is like new, beautiful Classic bucket seats in black leather, with a matching handmade leather dashtop , a very neat panel set and carpet set. A roll bar looks perfect and provides proper safety. A wooden Moro Lita steering wheel gives the car the beautiful 60s look. 72 Spoke black retro Dunlop wire wheels are mounted with 185-15 tires.
