Stunning 1978 Wedgewood Blue Triumph Spitfire 1500. This beautifully restored Spitfire is painted in the original Spitfire color Wedgewood Blue. The car was fully restored several years ago, completely body off. The chassis was blasted, thoroughly refinished, painted in the original black color and treated for rust. The sheet metal was professionally painted, very neat quality. Then the car was rebuilt with reconditioned and new parts. What a beautiful appearance this 70’s classic is. The seams are in very clean condition, and that is difficult on a Spitfire. The hood has been replaced with a GT6 hood, the one with the tough hump. It looks particularly good on him. The engine and gearbox have obviously been completely overhauled, so under the hood everything looks just as fresh and clean. The 1500 engine runs wonderfully quiet. Everything was renewed at the time, pipes, brakes, clutch, etc. The interior is completely renewed and extremely clean, the black seat upholstery looks great, the carpet set, door panels and hood cover are all equipped in black. The soft top is new and equipped in black vinyl. A black vinyl hood cover neatly covers the fold-down roof. A wooden Moto Lita steering wheel matched perfectly with the wooden dashboard. All dashboard clocks have been reconditioned so they work perfectly. The period correct Minilight wheels look perfect on this classic Triumph, a wonderful upgrade.
