The showroom is looking better and better. It’s brightened up by yet another Austin Healey Sprite, the so-called Frogeye. This “frog” dates from 1959 and arrived in the Netherlands in ’97. The Frogeye is finished in Bordeaux red—particularly chic. The car has been fully restored and is still in excellent condition—truly stunning. It’s a very well-maintained classic; everything has been done to factory specifications, original just as it should be. The paintwork on this Sprite is stunning—an incredibly glossy finish with very clean lines. Not a speck of rust or a single dent can be found on this Frogeye. The car is equipped with the original 948 engine, which was fully overhauled at the time. The transmission was also overhauled back then and functions perfectly—no creaking, as smooth as when it left the factory. It is fitted with two SU carburetors that are in perfect condition. The interior has been kept as original as possible; everything is as it came from the factory, including a new set of red carpet and a red vinyl-upholstered dashboard. The car has black vinyl side screens in very good condition. The seats and trim panels are upholstered in red vinyl with white piping. The original steering wheel is a rarity in itself—it’s beautiful. The car has been very well maintained and is in excellent mechanical condition; once again, it’s a turnkey example. The car sits on original steel rims with chrome hubcaps featuring the AH logo—a rarity these days. The car has a black vinyl soft top and a black full tonneau cover. The roll bar is bolted on and can therefore be easily removed if desired. Export documents, to facilitate registration in another country, are always included in our price.
